"The VHS series is still available for in-house viewing in a few libraries but I doubt if you could buy it now....My own tape set is showing signs of age. So I'm hoping that my website (shabby as it is) will help preserve this little bit of history before it's lost forever".----From the page Survival Spanish.

(Above) Imported from the original site, this image captured Vivian at her best as she taught spanish on video. The number links at the top of this page will start you on your tour of Vivian Ruiz.com. They're on every page for easy navigation. If you're not interested in the main subject of this site you'll find pictures of other celebrities scattered about. Women We Love is a new department that pays tribute to some other lovely ladies who have attracted my attention at times. See the Guest Index on the Preview Page to find your favorite. Then check the LocateTV feature to see the next time she'll be on televison. Page 15 offers a bittersweet look back at the 1980s, the decade which gave us Survival Spanish. On Page 19 you'll find a list of Vivian's works including an episode of Miami Vice which you can watch on Fancast. And Page 21 reveals the entrance to the lab, a testing area for HTML stuff. This is a fan site done by a "recovering obsessed fan" so please keep in mind that Vivian Ruiz had nothing to do with its construction and may not approve of all content.

Good morning. It's Friday (6/26/09) and for me that means back to work. Everybody who is somebody gets to take off on weekends but my life is different. Just wrapped up my mid-week break and boy am I spending a lot of time at the old PC. On this site you may see an advertisement for an online multiplayer game called Evony. Don't go there, it's a trap! Just kidding, there's nothing malicious but like all such pastimes it's addictive. However it's also disappointing. You build a city and fight battles in this imaginary world. Problem is you don't get to see any of the battles like you do in Age of Empires. You just enter numbers of troops into a console interface and wait for the results. Haven't even tried that yet, I'm still trying to get my city built. The construction part is kind of fun. It's painfully slow but at least you can see the pretty little town you're building. All in all it's a splendid waste of your time. My main gripe against Evony is that they sell game coins to "enhance your gaming experience". Translation: to give some players an outrageous advantage over other players. One day, hopefully, I'll awake to find someone has wiped out my city during the night and that will be the end of it. Age of Empires is no gem either. I just play that one off-line against the computer. It's so difficult I can't win without using cheats and of course that ruins everything. So I'll continue my search for an online game that's to my liking. Meanwhile I can give World Winner.com a half-hearted recommendation. They also advertise on this site. Their versions of Bookworm, Jeopardy, and Mystery P.I. are reasonably interesting games. Just remember the World of Warcraft episode on South Park. Don't let the line between fantasy and reality get too blurred or you'll end up looking like a pale, bloated, acne-covered Cartman sitting at his PC. Think I'll go outside and get some sunshine and fresh air. Well, maybe when the temperature drops below 101.----Lloyd.

The images above are from Dos Caras de Ana, one of several Spanish soap operas Vivian has appeared in recently. Fluent in both english and spanish, she has also put her incredibly well-trained voice to good use in commercials and dubbing your favorite TV shows in spanish. Go to Page 19 for a quick sample of her work.
