untitled

Oh the terrible things that happen on soap operas. Vivian expresses shock and horror on receiving some bad news.

Spanish soap operas differ from their anglo counterparts in that they have endings, plus there's way too much crying. But the ending is always a happy one and usually involves a wedding. Here Vivian attends one such joyous occasion.

Women we've noticed.

Marycarmen Sobrino. Venezuelan journalist. Currently the hostess of another Ophra style TV show in spanish, Mujeres con Historia Y Hombres Tambien. However, her own similarity  to Ophra ends abruptly as she starts each program with a short exotic dance that makes Mrs. Robinson's attempt at seducing the graduate look pale. Marycarmen has done a good job keeping her figure, no doubt battling the effects of time and childbirth. Seems to be involved in a number of worthwhile causes but I haven't found out much about her yet. If she still works as a journalist in South America her greatest accomplishment may be that she's still around. That's the annoying thing about dictatorships, too many people get shot.
