untitled

Gentlemen, start your engines.

Women we've...uh, noticed. (Forgot what I was going to say). Above, Jami Gertz of Still Standing has no trouble getting your attention. I've only recently discovered that hilarious show in syndication on the Lifetime network.

Vivian having fun as Mrs Martinez in the private eye series Extralarge which aired from 1990-1993.

(Above) Extralarge? Bud Spencer? Well surely you saw a western titled They Call Me Trinity. Spencer played Trinity's older brother. (Oh yeah, that's where I've seen him!). Just one of several movies he did with Terence Hill. Look closely at the lower left hand corner of that DVD and you'll see another familiar face hiding in the shadows. A computer-enhanced version is below. Bud Spencer is a popular actor in Europe. Like many of his other works the above DVD is in region 2 format so let the (American) buyer beware!

I imagine the shooting schedule for Survival Spanish was pretty grueling but Vivian's not falling asleep in the above picture even though it was probably around 4:00 AM. She frequently winked at you during the lessons as if to say, "Come on, you can do it". It encouraged me in more ways than one. Pity the poor cameraman trying to keep his mind on business.

Although I've never found much information about it, Vivian was the co-host of E & E (Estrellas y Estrenos), described as a spanish version of Entertainment Tonight. ET and Survival Spanish are both products of the 1980s and in some of these pics Vivian seems to be doing her own interpretation of Mary Hart's patented "honest to gosh" expression.

More 1980s stuff. Vivian guest stars as Gloria in the Miami Vice episode Deliver Us From Evil , and Rosa in the 1987 movie Nasty Hero.

More recently Vivian has appeared in spanish soap operas like Angel Rebelde and El Cuerpo Del Deseo. Such shows are becoming increasingly popular in the U.S. All images above are courtesy of Amazon.com where you can purchase the items.

(Below) Vivian appears with Bud Spencer in a scene from Extralarge. Image courtesy of Tvspielfilm. Was this show inspired by the old Cannon detective series which starred the "extra large" William Conrad? That show ran from 1971-1976.

(Below) Extralarge in German! These trailers courtesy of jackcostello12 have a few quick shots of Vivian. Don't blink or you'll miss them. Oh alright, in the ninja video she appears at 41, 55, and 137.

(Below) Miami looks more like New Orleans in this episode. Voodoo, black magic, the whole bit. Vivian appears very briefly at 22 and 48. Bud Spencer appears anywhere he wants to.
