"The VHS series is still available for in-house viewing in a few libraries but I doubt if you could buy it now....My own tape set is showing signs of age. So I'm hoping that my website (shabby as it is) will help preserve this little bit of history before it's lost forever".----From the page Survival Spanish.

"Every actress probably has one fan who's too enthusiastic. But when you consider what happened to celebrities like Jodie Foster, Theresa Saldana, and Rebecca Schaeffer, I think Vivian's lucky she drew my name".-----From FAQ.

The number links at the top of this page will start you on your tour of Vivian Ruiz.com. They're on every page for easy navigation. If you're not interested in the main subject of this site you'll find pictures of other celebrities scattered about. Women We Love is a new department that pays tribute to some other lovely ladies who have attracted my attention at times. See the Guest Index on the Preview Page to find your favorite. Then check the LocateTV feature to see the next time she'll be on televison. Page 15 offers a bittersweet look back at the 1980s, the decade which gave us Survival Spanish. And Page 21 reveals the entrance to the lab, a testing area for HTML stuff. This is a fan site done by a "recovering obsessed fan" so please keep in mind that Vivian Ruiz had nothing to do with its construction and may not approve of all content.

Well sometimes I do have second thoughts about creating this site, but it's done. It has been an awful lot of work and that's just it. I've worked too hard on this thing to dump it now. Vivian Ruiz.com is even displayed on Google, the internet's mightiest and most popular search engine. (And the toughest to get listed on!). Boy, I sure didn't see that coming. I wish I could've made this website better but my resources were pretty limited. Maybe someday I will do it better. Anyway, thanks for stopping by. ---Lloyd

Vivian as she appeared in the 1980s. All images of her on this site, unless noted otherwise are from the Survival Spanish telecourse produced in 1983 by Miami-Dade Community College.

The images above are from Dos Caras de Ana, one of several Spanish soap operas Vivian has appeared in recently. Fluent in both english and spanish, she has also put her incredibly well-trained voice to good use in commercials and dubbing your favorite TV shows in spanish. Go to Page 19 for a quick sample of her work.
